Soundarya’s Husband Raghu Breaks Silence on Allegations Against Mohan Babu

A recent complaint filed by an individual from Khammam, Telangana, has accused veteran actor Mohan Babu of illegal land acquisition and linked him to the tragic plane crash that took the life of actress Soundarya in 2004. As the controversy gained momentum, Soundarya’s husband, Raghu GS, finally spoke out, dismissing the claims as baseless and untrue.

In a statement issued to Telugu 360, Raghu clarified that Mohan Babu never had any financial dealings with Soundarya, nor did he acquire any property from her unlawfully. He firmly stated, “I want to deny the baseless news circulating regarding the property. To clarify, I confirm that there is no property illegally acquired by Shri Mohan Babu from my wife, Late Smt. Soundarya. As far as my knowledge goes, we never had any land transactions with him.”

Expressing his disappointment over the spread of misinformation, Raghu further emphasized his long-standing association with Mohan Babu. He revealed that their families had shared a deep bond of mutual trust and respect for over 25 years, and he saw no reason for such allegations to surface after so many years. Urging the public to refrain from spreading false narratives, he reiterated, “We share a good rapport with Shri Mohan Babu, and I want to confirm again that there were never any property dealings between us.”

The allegations against Mohan Babu stem from a complaint filed by an individual named Chittimalli, who claimed that the actor pressured Soundarya and her brother Amarnath to sell a six-acre property, including a guesthouse in Jalapally near Shamshabad. The complainant further alleged that Soundarya’s death was not accidental and that Mohan Babu forcefully took possession of her land afterward. He also raised concerns over Mohan Babu’s strained relationship with his younger son, Manchu Manoj, linking the actor to other family disputes.

Despite the seriousness of the claims, no official FIR has been registered in the matter. Soundarya, who was 31 years old and pregnant at the time, lost her life in a plane crash while traveling with her brother for a political campaign. The tragic incident shocked the nation, and now, over two decades later, the controversy surrounding her death has resurfaced.
