Fans of the Tamil version, starring Thalapathy Vijay, seemed to prefer the original over the Hindi remake.

During the interview, Yadav was also asked if Varun Dhawan felt depressed following the failure of Baby John at the box office. The actor dismissed the speculation, saying, “It’s nothing like that.”
He added, “Varun is such a sweet boy, very hardworking. He has always tried to do something different, and his attempts must be appreciated because it’s a big deal to take risks.”
