Muslim Couple Adopted A Hindu Girl, Raised Her With Love, Later Arranged Her Marriage To A Hindu Boy: India is a melting pot of various cultures, religions, and traditions, where people often come together to celebrate humanity beyond the boundaries of caste and creed. One such heartwarming story of love and compassion has touched the hearts of many. A Muslim couple from Kerala, Abdulla and Khadeeja, set an extraordinary example of selflessness and humanity by adopting a Hindu girl, raising her as their own, and later arranging her marriage with a Hindu boy. Their inspiring story has become a symbol of communal harmony and unconditional love.

Muslim Couple Adopted A 10-Year-Old Hindu Girl

In 2008, tragedy struck the life of a young girl named Rajeshwari when she lost both of her parents in an unfortunate incident. Originally from Tamil Nadu, Rajeshwari’s parents worked as laborers on the farmland of Abdulla and Khadeeja in Kerala. The couple had always been kind to their workers, but little did they know that their bond with Rajeshwari would soon change their lives forever.

After the untimely demise of Rajeshwari’s parents, the 10-year-old girl was left orphaned and helpless. Seeing the plight of the little girl, Abdulla and Khadeeja made the life-changing decision to adopt Rajeshwari and give her a loving home. Despite the differences in religion, the couple never saw Rajeshwari as an outsider. Instead, they embraced her as their own daughter and vowed to provide her with the love, care, and education she deserved.

Raised With Love and Respect for Her Religion

What makes this story even more remarkable is the couple’s unwavering respect for Rajeshwari’s religious beliefs. Abdulla and Khadeeja raised her with immense love and care without imposing their own religious practices on her. They ensured that Rajeshwari continued to follow the customs and traditions of her Hindu faith.

In interviews, Abdulla shared how they never tried to change Rajeshwari’s religious identity. They supported her in observing Hindu rituals and festivals, making her feel comfortable and respected in their home. The couple also ensured that Rajeshwari was educated and given the same opportunities as their three biological sons.

“She was always like our own daughter. We never thought of her as someone different. She became the sister of our sons, and we gave her all the love a daughter deserves,” Abdulla said in an interview.

Finding the Perfect Groom for Rajeshwari

After raising Rajeshwari with immense love and care for 12 years, Abdulla and Khadeeja wanted to see their daughter happily married. When Rajeshwari turned 22, the couple began searching for a suitable groom for her. They were very particular about finding a groom with good character and values.

“We had told a few people to find her a good boy. Some proposals came, but we did not like them after detailed inquiries. Our main demand was that the boy should be a teetotaler and have good values,” Abdulla revealed.

After an extensive search, they found the perfect match in Vishnu Prasad, the son of Balachandran and Jayanthi, from Puthiyakotta near Kanhangad. The groom’s family had only one request—that the wedding take place in a temple. Respecting their wishes, the wedding was held at a temple where people from all religions were welcome.

When asked about the wedding expenses, Abdulla shared that he and his sons had saved money for Rajeshwari’s marriage over the years. They never differentiated between their biological sons and their adopted daughter, proving that love knows no boundaries.

“We had been saving for her marriage just like we would for our own daughter. Rajeshwari is one of us,” Abdulla said.

A Testament to Humanity

Abdulla and Khadeeja’s story is a shining example of how love and compassion can transcend religious and societal barriers. Their selfless act has not only transformed the life of one girl but has also become an inspiring tale of communal harmony in a time when the world needs such stories the most.

The couple’s unwavering commitment to raising Rajeshwari with dignity and respect serves as a reminder that humanity is the greatest religion of all. Their story is a testament to the fact that love, kindness, and empathy can bridge even the widest of divides.

In a world often divided by religion and caste, Abdulla and Khadeeja’s journey reminds us that the bonds of love are far stronger than any man-made barriers. Their story will continue to inspire generations to come, proving that in the end, humanity always triumphs.
