“कल रात मेरी नानी जी इंद्राणी ठाकुर जी का देहांत हुआ। सारा परिवार शोक में है। कृपया उनकीलिये प्रार्थना करें” (Last night, my grandmother Indrani Thakur ji passed away. The whole family is in mourning. Please pray for her.)
She continued in another post, providing fans with a glimpse into her grandmother’s final days and the impact she had on the family.

Kangana shared that a few days prior, her grandmother had suffered a brain stroke while cleaning her room, which left her bedridden. Reflecting on her grandmother’s life, she wrote:
“She lived a wonderful life and became such an inspiration for all of us. She will always be in our DNA and in our appearances, and she will always be remembered.”
The actress expressed gratitude for the values and strength her grandmother imparted to her family, emphasizing how deeply she will be missed.

Kangana recalled how her grandmother raised five children with limited resources, ensuring each received a quality education. She proudly noted her grandmother’s progressive stance in insisting that even her married daughters pursue their careers, a rare belief in those times. “My nani was a remarkable woman… She was very proud of her children’s careers,” Kangana said in her tribute.

“My nani ji was 5 feet 8 inches tall, very rare for a mountain woman. I got her height and her health and metabolism… She was so healthy and lively.”
